Third Party Billing Coordinator

Description:

 

Bill Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance companies and maintain documentation for behavioral health services.  This position reports directly to the Billing Manager.  Major responsibilities include:

 Ensure claims are submitted correctly and timely to avoid errors.Follow up on aging of account activity.Monitor payment/denial activity.Works with other departments to obtain necessary information for claims submission.Ensures adjustments are processed accurately and timely.Keeps Billing Manager informed of potential reimbursement issues. Provides assistance to other billing staff regarding claims questions/issues.

 

 

Requirements:

 

High school diploma, with some college preferred.  Experience with electronic billing software.  Knowledge of third party regulations and third party claims processing experience.
