Mesa Manor Care Center is an 86 bed skilled nursing center located in Grand Junction, Colorado.  We are currently seeking a full-time Unit Manager, Registered Nurse ( RN ) to join the nursing manangement team.

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of a designated unit in the facility.  Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

 

* Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

* Ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation to meet departmental goals, to develop/maintain good personnel relations and employee morale.

* Ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive feedback.

* Ability to understand, control and track direct spending and labor budgets.

* Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.

* Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies and procedures.

* Ability to respect residents including those who have impaired cognition.

* Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required.

* Sufficient computer skills required to perform duties.

* Licensed Nurse, Registered Nurse preferred.

* Active RN license in state of Colorado.
