VICE PRESIDENT FOR MEDICAL AFFAIRS

Acting as Chief Medical Officer as well as a key executive staff member, you will take charge of our Medical Staff Office, while advising our President and Board of Directors on Medical Affairs. Additionally, you will assure our delivery of the highest quality care through your leadership of departmental Chairpersons and other medical leaders.

Responsibilities Include:
 Assisting with strategic planning for the hospital  Representing medical staff interests during our preparation of the annual operating budget  Overseeing manpower planning and the credentialing process for medical staff Developing the peer review process Ensuring our compliance with JCAHO, PRO, CARF, Delmarva, state and other regulatory agency  standards Liaising between administration, nursing and ancillary departments Directing a Utilization Review Plan that is compliant with accreditation, certification and licensure standards Serves as hospital liaison in appropriate medical matters with the local medical community, medical societies, payors and community organizations.
The successful candidate is a physician with current Maryland state licensure and proven medical expertise.
