VNS Nutritionist, Per Diem, Queens

VNS CHOICE is a comprehensive managed long term care program for older adults who wish to live at home but need assistance with day-to-day activities. VNS CHOICE is designed to provide each member with the very best possible care. We encourage members to take an active part in their own health care, and we offer many choices of services and locations.

We are seeking talented Nutritionists to join our team at VNS CHOICE located at our Queens regional office. This is a per diem opportunity.


Responsibilities include performing comprehensive nutrition assessments of assigned patients, developing care plans, and providing medical nutrition therapy, clinical guidance, nutrition education and counseling to meet normal and therapeutic needs. This position works under general supervision.

Licensure: Current registration to practice as a registered dietician from American Dietetic Association.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree with major in food and nutrition or equivalent experience. Master’s Degree in nutrition or public health preferred.

Experience: Minimum one year of professional experience as a registered dietician required. In lieu of work experience, a Master’s Degree in nutrition or public health will be considered. Effective oral/ written /interpersonal communication skills.
