About the Opportunity : Our Investigative Services Division, ICS|Merrill, is seeking a Vendor Network Development Manager to work in our Jacksonville, Florida location.
Position Summary:
The Vendor Network Development Manager is primarily responsible for managing the acquisition of key vendors and optimizing the network development to ensure proper capacity to serve the business plan and unplanned opportunities. This position will act as a liaison between management and other operational areas. This position will act as a liaison to vendors and, promote the resolution of operational gaps and administrative concerns or those critical issues that require manager resolution.
This position will be accountable to strategically recruit vendors after prioritizing, both quantifiably and qualitatively, the network's needs, and will negotiate favorable compensations and provider contracts to meet business requirements. This position facilitates the sales force's ability to penetrate new business opportunities by providing a high performance, competitive network.
The Vendor Network Development Manager will collaborate with other interdepartmental resources for the design, development and implementation of initiatives to increase labor utilization, productivity and quality consistent with client requirements and business plans.
General Responsibilities:Manages acquisition and implementation of network vendors to ensure consistent and professional delivery of service.Accountable for developing and implementing the Network strategic plan to ensure network adequacy and utilization, including any budget considerations. Responsible for creating and maintaining timelines to help ensure the timely implementation of the actions needed to support the organization’s business model and clients’ satisfaction. Develops and implements, in collaboration with other departments, programs to facilitate effective communications and enhance vendor performance and satisfaction.Develop and implement reporting to management, and other quality reporting and analysis deliverables, such as work flow diagrams, policies and procedures, project timeline documents.Maintains regular contact with key vendor organizations and acts as a liaison to internally resolve complex issues.Ensures the distribution of vendor agreements in a timely mannerEnsure that processes are being appropriately documented to support the ongoing operations.Interacts with affiliated departments to ensure closure of paperwork flow.Responsible for ensuring that network contracts are within established financial parameters to meet performance objectives.Coordinates reports as needed to monitor, identify and resolve network gaps in relationship to current and potential business requirements to ensure Network Adequacy and compliance with Service Level AgreementsThrough recruitment, will identify qualified staff and vendors and complete necessary in-boarding documents or fully executed contracts as appropriateUsing interdepartmental resources ensures vendor database files are kept updated and that files are accurate.Interacts with affiliated departments to ensure prompt closure of paperwork flow, including coordination with licensing.Represents company externally, delivering professional and polished image by phone and in person regularly to educate and establish working relationshipsPerforms other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's DegreeAt least 3 to 5 years of previous experience in developing vendor or provider networks, management within insurance services setting is preferred. At least 3 to 5 years of previous experience in contracting with outside vendors One year project management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent administrative, analytical, organizational, verbal, written communication and presentation skills are required.Skills in data analysis requiredProficiency with MS ExcelExcellent negotiation skills with track record of negotiating favorable vendor contractsAbility to promote a team environment.Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required.Pleasant phone demeanor and excellent customer service skills.Professional image and behavior are requiredAbility to work with others while completing multiple tasks simultaneously and successfully is required.Occasional travel may be required.
