Veterinary Assistant

Hours: 2-6PM M,Tu,W,F. 8:30-12PM Sat.An experienced assistant is one who was hired primarily to work with the veterinarian and the public. A person who was hired to work primarily in the kennel but who occasionally helped the vet is a kennel worker, not an experienced assistant.We want an experienced assistant. We require maturity and dependability.We are a small animal only practice and see both dogs and cats.We have a small staff and there is very little opportunity for time off outside of the normal time off for a part-time employee.We are looking for a long time hire, not a temp. We expect the new hire to work right through the summer and not request vacation time.This will not become a full-time position.

 

Responsibilities are anything and everything the vet requests.

 

Salary will be at least $8 per hour but may be more depending on your level of experience.
