Veterinary Practice Manager/HR Manager wanted for Marlborough Animal Hospital, a 3-doctor small animal practice located in Marlborough, CT. Our Marlborough location is a growing practice that seeks a proven manager with veterinary, medical, dental, or service industry experience to lead our staff. The ideal candidate must be able to ensure the smooth and efficient orchestration of all daily practice operations - freeing the doctors up to practice medicine. A proven record of human resources management skills are required in order to design and implement practical staff recruitment, selection, orientation, training, performance appraisal and performance planning programs, conflict resolution and team building. Additionally, candidates should also possess strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to monitor budgetary benchmarks, maintain a compliance program and oversee the practice inventory. Development of a comprehensive customer service and professional marketing program are goals to be achieved during the first year. This hospital is part of a growing 6-practice group that share the same owner. Managers work with one another in a collegial atmosphere, but at the same time, operate as independent and separate hospitals. All routine bookkeeping functions are centralized at the main office.
