Veterinary Receptionist
Highly productive, three-doctor Animal Hospital/Boarding and Grooming facility seeking a friendly, always smiling, customer oriented person as a front desk receptionist. This person should be extremely motivated, self-starter, willing to work as a member of a team under little supervision, and anxious to learn all the aspects of the veterinary practice. Customer service and office skills are a plus but not required. Training will be conducted on site.
Job Purpose:
Serves clients by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies Doctors of client and patient arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.
Duties:
* Welcomes clients and patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
* Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation.
* Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Assists the doctor by answering client questions or directing questions to the proper authorities.
