The Healthcare business of Thomson Reuters provides insights -- information, benchmarks and analysis -- that enable organizations to manage costs, improve performance and enhance the quality of healthcare. Position can be located in either Greenwood Village, CO (preferred) or Ann Arbor, MI. Web Applications Development Manager Primarily responsible for maintenance and updating of content of ThomsonHealthcare.com and other Web properties, including intranets; and development of other electronic and multimedia communications, as needed (i.e, DVDs, HTML newsletters, flash presentations and CD-ROMs). Supervise and direct small team responsible for Web content maintenance, and development of other online communications, including advertisements, films, demos, marketing and instructional material, etc. Plan, coordinate and oversee integration of multiple Web sites into a single user-friendly platform, which supports the brand and business goals. Organize content update methods and processes for the Web sites and online offerings to ensure capabilities for routine updates and on-demand changes meet requirements. Manage production of metrics and reporting of all site usage using WebTrends and other tools. Coordinate online reporting requirements and deliverables. Define and execute quality assurance plans and processes adequate to ensure high quality output for content updates and other online projects. Coordinate Web design resources as needed to ensure support for new product development, product enhancement, sales support and customer requirements. Interact with technology and engineering resources as needed to ensure online design production aligns with technology solutions. Develop operational methods and processes for new online services as identified, defined and launched. Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years Web production/operations experience working in an environment supporting multiple Web sites Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage a team responsible for Web development and multimedia design Must be able to translate business strategy and process into clear, accurate specifications requirements, sitemaps, wireframes and other documentation to achieve defined goals Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work and interact with marketing, product management, sales, sales support, product support, and information technology teams. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high quality output. Ability to create prototypes and templates incorporating design/usability principles Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively define priorities for team according to business objectives Expert knowledge of ColdFusion, HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, .NET, ASP, VB Expert knowledge of Web coding/design applications including Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash) Proficient in JavaScript and VBScript Experience with SQL server functionality/security Proficient in the entire suite of Microsoft Office components (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of Web content management systems. Extensive background in Web production cycles, definition and maintenance of Web update schedules, and Web technology troubleshooting.
