WEB DEVELOPER

CONEXIS  sets the standard as the best third party administrator in the nation for employee benefits including COBRA, Section 125, and Section 132 plans.  Due to rapid growth, we are expanding our Information Technology team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Web Application Developers design, develop and maintain Internet and Intranet applications. Their purpose is to gather and document business requirements, develop technical designs from business requirements, respond to bug reports, provide support during system outages, write application and data access code, test code and manage source control repositories, mentor other web application developers as required, investigate new technologies and provide strong customer service when customers report a bug or request a new feature.

 

Duties include:

· Provide strong customer service to internal and external customers when requests are received.

· Participate and conduct meetings to gather business requirements from users and business analyst.

· Develop technical documentation addressing the business requirements provided by users and business analyst.

· Manage project workload via SCRUM Methodology.

· Maintain legacy Internet applications using ASP 3.0 and VB 6.

· Build Internet and Intranet applications using Web 2.0 standards.

· Build applications using ASP.NET, C# and the .NET Framework.

· Build Web Services using the .NET Framework.

· Use NUnit to build unit tests on .NET code.

· Develop stored procedures, views and functions for SQL 2005.

· Author change logs for QA to document features and bugs.

· Perform code reviews for other Web Application Developers.



 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Strong, positive, customer service focused attitude.

Minimum of 5 years experience developing internet based web applications.

Familiar with Web 2.0 standards, XHTML and CSS.

2+ years experience with .NET, C# and ASP.NET.

5+ years experience with ASP, HTML, VBScript, and JavaScript.

3+ years experience with SQL Server 2000 or 2005.

Familiar with XML Web Services and SOAP.

Familiar with SAML beneficial.

Experience with high availability, load balanced, Internet applications.

Detail oriented, self started able to work under tight deadlines.

Health insurance industry or technologies experience a plus.

College degree in computer science, or equivalent experience required.
