Seeking a Mid-Level WinTel Systems Administrator to join our team in Addison, TX!!" The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of System Administration experience supporting Windows Servers and Active Directory. Candidates with MCSE (Exchange 5.5, 2000, and 2003) and MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) desired. Summary: This position is responsible for the support functions within the Information Technology department including the administration of multiple Windows server infrastructures. Hardware and software support for Windows NT/2000/2003 servers as well as electronic messaging support and Level 3 Help Desk escalation support. He or she exercises independent and analytical judgment to solve complex problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for recommending and implementing new technology which will increase the company’s productivity as well as benefit the company financially. Responsibilities: Multi-platform support including software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on Windows/Intel operating systems. Ensure optimization and tuning of server, file systems, capacity planning and appropriate replication. Administration and support of network including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and WINS software. Recommends and implements modifications to the server environment, including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware for HP/Compaq Proliant and Dell servers. Administer, install, configure, and maintain all Microsoft Exchange and related products including email scanning tools, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Virus Scanning Tools, Spam Filtering Tools, SMTP, IMAP, etc. Administer, install, configure, and maintain Virus scanning software. Strong ability to multitask and resolve issues with urgency. Maintain record, inventory, and documentation on all the above items. Provide Monitoring and reporting of the server infrastructure. Implement new technology and server strategies as required. Research escalated problems and provide solutions – escalate as necessary. Perform automation projects. Requirements: Thorough understanding, knowledge, and hands-on experience with the operation and optimization of Microsoft’s messaging environments and operating systems in a large enterprise environment. Proficient use of virus scanning tools such as McAfee, Norton, TrendMicro, etc. required. 3 years of proven experience as a server systems engineer. Equipment/software used: Exchange Server 2003, 2000, 5.5 Outlook 2003, 2000 Antivirus: McAfee, Symantec, TrendMicro, GFI Spam Filtering: Sophos, Sybari, Ashcom Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) All Dell, Compaq, and IBM Hardware All Microsoft applications VMWare MS Clustering Blade server technology The following certifications are desirable: MCSE - Exchange 5.5, 2000, and 2003 MCSA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator .
