AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN

The full-service spa blends historic elegance with contemporary amenities including massage therapy, rejuvenating body treatments, nourishing facials, specialty nail treatments, men's and women's locker room facilities with steam showers, and a 24-hour cardio-fitness facility.     Audio Visual Technician   Acts as the primary individual responsible for the set up, operation, and breakdown of Audio (microphones, speakers, mixers etc,) Video, Projection (projectors, cameras etc), and Lighting equipment per guests and group requests. Interacts directly with internal and external clients to meet and exceed their needs and apply floor up selling techniques, where appropriate.  Set meeting and banquet rooms through the safe and correct use of audio visual equipment. Assist team with proper security, storage, transportation and maintenance of equipment. Accounts for all inventories before and after each event.  Knowledge of the meeting facilities, daily meeting schedule, and other hotel facilities. Maintain the cleanliness and working order of all equipment. Keep all storage areas clean and orderly at all times. Respond to all guest needs as requested. Reviews operation of equipment with client and ensures their comfort in its operation and use. Assists the IT Manager as necessary Qualifications: *  Minimum of two years job-related experience in the Audio Visual profession- Preferably Hotels *  Must have a minimum of High School Diploma/GED *  Excellent customer service skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact and assist others. *  Technical aptitude and basic understanding of how to use audiovisual equipment and computer  hardware and software. *  Portrays a polished professional image to meet company dress code requirements *  Must be able to accommodate a rotating work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays. *   EXCEPTIONAL attention to detail. *  Requires thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field. *  Must be able to lift 50lbs.
