Job Description Account Executive Job Summary: The Account Executive supports Marriott ExecuStay’s sales strategy and vision through proactive sales efforts. Primary responsibilities include activities to identify potential business, generate new accounts and build market share. Focus includes driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence through each customer experience. Job Responsibilities: Sales and Marketing • Support and promote Marriott ExecuStay’s mission statement, strategic vision, and value proposition to customers. • Execute sales strategy to achieve individual and team goals. • Identify and aggressively solicit new accounts. Utilize negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to uncover new business. • Strengthen relationships with existing customers to build market share. • Maintain unit pricing guidelines, lease length and vacancy policies set forth by Revenue Management, DOS, or GM. • Prepare proposals and presentations for potential customers. • Understand and actively utilize brand marketing initiatives/incentives to close on business. • Actively up sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue and profit. • Assist DOS or GM in development and implementation of strategic marketing plans. • Proactively communicate with Market DOS and GM. • Maintain accurate and up to date account data and reporting in Goldmine. • Complete weekly sales report activities. • Conduct product and area tours for local and national customers as required. • Maintain understanding of national and local competition strengths and weaknesses and how to sell against them. • Utilize sales organization resources as needed in account saturation. • Establish and maintain local relationships with other Marriott Brands and Marriott’s Global Sales Organization. • Establish a strong working relationship with Market Account Managers. Guest Satisfaction • Drive customer loyalty through excellent customer service throughout the sales process. Serve the customer by understanding their needs and making recommendations based on those needs. • Set a positive example for guest relations. • Establish clear expectations for customers throughout the sales process. • Communicate accurate, complete and timely information to operating departments within the market. • Participate in guest satisfaction review sessions to identify areas of improvement. Other • Share in pager duty. • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs. • Maintain and submit timely expense reports in accordance with policy. Experience • Two plus years of proactive sales experience • Excellent selling skills and understanding of sales processes • Ability to effectively upsell products and services • Excellent telephone sales skills • Strong customer development and relationship management skills • Lodging or corporate housing experience preferred • Understanding of revenue management functions and account profitability • Strong communication skills • Strong problem solving skills • Effective decision making skills • Good negotiation skills • Ability to use standard software applications including account management systemsApply on line Job # 514419  Take the next step toward experiencing success.
