Account Manager Sales & Sourcing

Job Title: Account Manager – Sales & Sourcing
The Account Manager-Sales & Sourcing is one of our client’s main points of contact at API. The Account Manager-Sales & Sourcing will actively manage existing client relationships with our Airline and Hotel partners and be responsible for proactively sourcing key destinations for these clients; always focused on the best interests of our clients and API at all times.
Job Duties:
Total account management to include but not limited to the following:
Manage the sourcing projects for our clients in key destinations. Collection of data includes but is not limited to contracted rates, concessions, contract terms and conditions, and overall management of the procurement process and supplier relationships.
Must possess complete understanding of our client’s needs in these destinations.
Ability to have a complete understanding of market conditions in order to secure the best possible scenarios for our Airline and hotel partners.Proactively approach each project with the goal of achieving a win-win solution.
Effectively manage presentations and site inspections for each destination in conjunction with our Sales team.
Adept at closing, contract negotiations, contract renewals, and addendums.
Manage crew care for our airline and hotel partners.
Must be an expert in all solutions offered by API and possess the ability to effectively present these options to our clients and secure new business.
Become an expert on market conditions in each destination that our client utilizes; this includes consistent sales calls on Airline Station Managers and Hotel Partners.
Proactively pursue, at all times, the best hotel relationships for our airline partners based on current and future market conditions.
Ability to effectively manage workload in a fast paced atmosphere relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work is a must.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate has:
Established (at least 3 years) travel industry experience, working closely with airlines and/or hotels is a must.Multilingual skills (especially Spanish is plus)Strong computer skills, with strong emphasis on Microsoft Office product and ExcelExceptional verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding relationship management and customer service orientation skillsEffective selling skillsPersuasive presentation skills in both small and large audience settingsStrong assessment aptitudeA profound understanding of how political, social and cultural differences between countries, people and cultures affect a successful sales and client management approach
and should be:An organized self-starter who can work proactively and independentlyAble to multi task and work well under strict deadlinesSome travel may be necessary
