The position is based in downtown Philadelphia, PA and will report to the Vice President Indirect Sourcing.Key duties and responsibilities:Develop, implement and direct a total fleet management program for Domestic Food Hospitality and Facilities Services fleet in excess of 5,000 vehicles. Including, but not limited to the following responsibilities: fleet utilization / rightsizing; asset management and inventory control; DOT program compliance, driver training, safety and accident management; vehicle assignment, selection, acquisition, servicing, maintenance and repair, fuel planning, hedging programs, remarketing strategy development; replacement planning; life cycle cost analysis; alternative transportation methods, contract negotiations, vendor selection, personal use review; and clean air vehicle programs. Strategic and Business Planning: Conduct appropriate assessments and develop associated plans based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, and constraints. Utilize project management techniques to effectively execute plans and monitor progress. Analysis, Reporting and Business Case Development: Evaluate existing fleet management and regulatory compliance activities, protocols, and procedures. Utilize information, data and formal analysis to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities. Prioritize needed changes and make recommendations that consider available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Financial, Data and Performance Management: Provide for the most economical, safe, and environmentally sensitive use of fleet resources. Develop and monitor the fleet budget. Manage and strategically enhance relevant information technology systems. Create and actively manage performance metrics to proactively measure and report on critical areas, including: regulatory and fleet policy compliance; cost; utilization; efficiency and effectiveness; energy; and alternative fuels. Customer and Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with ARAMARK’s Lines of Business, suppliers, ELC members, and other stakeholders including ARAMARK Human Resources, Legal, I.T., Internal Audit, and ARAMARK’s Compliance Office. Employee Relations and Team Development: Use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to build a supportive and cohesive work environment. Oversee assigned staff of 12 and engage in active performance management. Take action to build strategic relationships between one’s area and other areas, teams, departments, units, or organizations. Policy Development, Communication, and Oversight: Develop, implement and regularly review fleet management and regulatory compliance program policies, procedures, and oversight mechanisms. Clearly convey and receive information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience, helps them understand and retain the message, and permits response, feedback, and management oversight. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or combination of relevant experience required. MBA preferred. 15+ years’ progressive fleet management experience, including 10 years of supervisory and management responsibility for assets and operations. Thorough knowledge of fleet management legislation and best practices Proven operational and technical expertise in all aspects of fleet management Strong policy making, analysis, strategic visioning, customer service, change management, team development and leadership skills. Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Proficient PC skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and data base management.
