We are ranked as the lodging industry's most admired company and one of the best places to work for by FORTUNE®.  Our corporate headquarters is located in Bethesda, Maryland. The Assistant Tax Manager, reporting to the Tax Manager, has a range of U.S. tax compliance responsibilities, with the emphasis on international activity. Specific duties and responsibilities:· U.S. tax reporting of international operations for foreign entities· Prepare and review the U.S. reporting of Forms 5471.· FAS 109 analysis for foreign corporations.· Prepare and review foreign Schedule Ms required as part of Marriott’s consolidated US income tax return.· Assist in general ledger review process to verify accuracy by separate company.· Prepare and review election and disclosure statements.· Prepare and review federal estimates and extensions for foreign entities.· Assist the Audit Group in resolving international audit inquiries.· Review international tax footnotes for Marriott’s SEC and US GAAP reporting.· Assist in U.S. tax legislation research as it pertains to international operations.· Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities.· Assist with updating work-programs and other reference sources.  Qualifications:· BS/BA degree in Accounting· Minimum 4-6 years tax experience, international tax experience preferred· Strong communication and interpersonal skills· Strong multi-tasking and problem solving skills· Strong commitment to deadline compliance· Strong computer skills· Detail oriented· CORPTAX_ETS and PeopleSoft experience a plus, but not required For more information and/or to apply on line, please visit our website www.marriott.com   To apply, you will need to select careers, job search, management opportunities, search for careers, detailed search and enter the 6 digit number, 513798 into the job opening number field.  Take the next step toward experiencing success.
