Bike Attendant

JOB TITLE: BICYCLE TECHNICIAN  OCCUPATION CODE:  132010 DEPARTMENT NAME: OPERATIONS     I.   OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:     Maintain bicycles, including preventative maintenance, minor repairs and detailing. Ensure that bicycle department area is kept clean and orderly according to Marriott standards.  II.  WORKING RELATIONS:   Reports to:   Bicycle Department Supervisor   Interfaces with: Guests and other intra-departmental associates.  III.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Contribute to bicycle rental operations with bicycles repaired properly and in a timely manner according to Marriott standards and consistently display flawless hospitality and professionalism to guests, management and co-workers. · Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all bicycles and support equipment to ensure that all ready bicycles are safe and reliable. · Able to handle cash and charge accounts as explained by the Marriott service manual. · Consistently maintain a clean, neat and organized bicycle department building and surrounding grounds  IV.   SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: · Able to assemble new bicycles. · Install, repair, replace or adjust accessories such as: handlebars, kickstands, lights, reflectors and seats.  · Align wheels, handlebars and seats.  · Able to repair holes in tubes by changing tubes or patching as time permits. · Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.   V. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Able to operate point of sale equipment accurately. Intermittent pushing, pulling, lifting and bending associated with a bicycle rental facility.   VI.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · Able to effectively assist in the operation of the bicycle department by repairing bicycles properly in a timely manner. · Excellent hospitality and time management skills. · Excellent organizational skills in order to manage multiple repairs. · Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English, second language a plus. · Consistently display a professional demeanor and appearance. · Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.       EOE  M/F/V/D Position Type: Full Time, Employee Salary: Competitive Salary and Benefits Offered Marriott Billing Department: 38k0818 Company: Marriott Vacation Club International - MVCI
