Position Overview

Provide leadership for the PSAV Business Development function specifically related to introducing new contract services to the business.  Oversee the process of identifying, evaluating and developing new services that will provide strategic and financial value to PSAV.  Provide leadership and structure to the process through exceptional organizational and communication skills.  Key areas of focus include managing the discovery phase, evaluating the market, preparing business plans, managing the development cycle, developing and measuring the success criteria and providing overall project management. 


Key Job Responsibilities  (Weight %)

Strategic Planning  (25%)

Create and manage plans for the evaluation and development of new, innovative services that differentiate PSAV from our competition and leverage our existing location based fixed costs.  Introduce significant customer input into the discovery phase of the business development process to help establish reliable ROI estimates, prioritization, and five year projections.  Determine the role that strategic partnerships or other relationships might play in the development of each new contract service.

Project Management  (25%)

Create a road map for introducing new contract services based upon business priorities and the pipeline of opportunities.  Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure that business development projects meet timeline and budget requirements. Create and oversee project schedules and provide regular updates regarding overall project status.

Organizational Leadership  (20%)

Articulate the strategic direction and build commitment for new contract services within the management team. Provide clear direction, information and training to the organization for all new contract services.    Proactively solicit input to the development process from sales and operations stakeholders in order to facilitate ownership.  Utilize influence and communication skills to ensure the success of beta and pilot programs.  Act as an authority and resource for new contract services to both internal and external audiences and participate in the release schedule for new services in conjunction with HITEC each year.

Financial Management  (15%)

Develop and manage the annual budget for new contract services.  Analyze revenues, expenses, profit contributions and measure other success criteria for each service during the development phase.  Provide analysis outlining the revenue potential and resource requirements for each service over a five year period.

People Management  (15%)

Hire, develop, lead and motivate a qualified staff of managers necessary to support the development process for new contract services. Promote and drive professional development and training efforts to help improve overall business acumen, sales training, technical knowledge, and project management. Manage human resource related issues including performance management, salary administration, training and development and strategic human resources planning.
