Copy Supervisor

 

§ Serve as lead copywriter, maintaining the company’s voice, vision and brand identity for both internal and external communications.

§ Provide direction and coaching for copywriting team members

§ Manage editorial calendars, content lists, article delegation and copy approvals for all publications (5 different publications)

§ Manage proofreading process and serve as final proofreader

§ Develop communication plans for various multi-component projects and initiatives, working with Account Services lead and creative team on implementation

§ Understand client’s business objectives and delegate assignments to copywriters, approving final product to ensure messaging is effectively delivered 

§ Carry out any reasonable request by management

QUALIFICATIONS

 

§ Minimum of 5 years professional copywriting experience including advertising, collateral, direct mail, Web sites and e-communications

*  Minimum of 2 years supervisory or managerial experience

§ Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or relevant area of study

§ Timeshare or Hospitality industry experience preferred

§ Demonstrated project management experience

§ Ability to quickly alternate between writing for a range of voices, including owner, corporate, employee and marketing

§ Ability to write for a variety of styles, including ads, offers, articles, direct mail and press releases

§ Experience writing electronic communications, including e-mail, Web site and company intranet

§ Experience in corporate environment preferred

§ Ability to demonstrate end-to-end thinking through projects

§ Proficiency with Microsoft Word and proven editing and proofing skills

Adobe InCopy experience preferred

§ Proficient in prioritizing, organizing and managing multiple assignments

§ Proven ability to conceptualize

§ Proven ability to ask appropriate questions and gather pertinent information from stakeholders

§ Understands how design, layout, and photography work with copy in producing effective communications

§ Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple projects
