Dynamic Retail Recruiter Needed

DEAN & DELUCA, the icon of the American epicurean experience, seeks a professional exempt retail Recruiter to be based out of it’s Corporate Office in northern Wichita, KS.

 

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Talent Management and will have the following responsibilities:

 

§ Create strategy and lead the recruiting efforts for a 1,000 employee retail, food service, warehousing/distribution, call center, and sales organization with locations in 5 states

§ Formulate programs to attract high caliber talent

§ Develop relationships with university career placement departments

§ Coordinate and attend job fairs

§ Source qualified candidates through advertisements, employee referrals, Internet databases, university career placement departments, walk-ins, etc.

§ Screen management candidates in-person or over the telephone and schedule followup interviews with hiring managers

§ Coordinate and/or conduct preplacement evaluations, such as background checks, references, criminal, MVR, psychological profiles, etc.

§ Track open positions through fulfillment and provide regular status reports to executive management

§ Devise programs to reduce turnover

§ Write job descriptions

§ Assist other areas of the Talent Management Department (Human Resources) as needed in an attitude of teamwork and cooperation.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

§ At least 2 years of retail recruiting experience is required, with additional recruiting experience preferred.

§ Ability to travel overnight occasionally, approximately 10% of the time

§ Strong computer / Microsoft Office skills

§ A true passion for recruiting and a desire for success
