We have an opening for an Employee Relations Manager at our Caesars Indiana property. As the world’s largest riverboat casino with over 90,000 square feet of gaming action, we’re located just 20 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY and situated in Elizabeth, Indiana (Harrison County). The property is just 10 minutes south of New Albany, IN on Hwy. 111.






Qualifications: A four year degree from an accredited college is required. PHR or SPHR certification preferred. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of Human Resource experience as a supervisor or manager is required. Must have thorough knowledge of employment laws and fair treatment policies. Must possess excellent communication skills, performance consulting and facilitation skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Summary: Responsible for property employee relations through the development and implementation of programs that foster a positive work environment through fairness and respect for all employees.

Essential Functions:
*Manages employee and labor relation activities; employee events, rewards and recognition programs, Harrah's HERO program; and, other programs that support the property's policies and objectives.
*Ensures fair treatment and satisfactory work environment by providing advisory services, interpretation and consistent application of company policies, procedures and practices.
*Partners with departments and corporate resources to maximize efficient, effective internal service.
*Develops measurement and conducts analysis to ensure employee relation programs are meaningful and provide an appropriate business impact.
*Coordinates and administers employee opinion surveys and supervisory feedback surveys. Facilitates and provides instructions and direction for continuous improvement and coaching based on results.
*Provides recommendations for changes/enhancements to property programs to increase employee satisfaction and retention of high performing employees.
*Oversees the communication and distribution of collateral for employee benefits to include coordination of open enrollment sessions.
*Manages the leave of absence process to include FMLA requests, review and approvals.
*Responds to and interacts with federal, state and local agencies (EEOC, DOL, Unemployment).
*Organizes and executes departmental climate surveys/focus groups/round tables and provides analysis and appropriate recommendations to HR management.
*Partners with Customer Service Director to align employee and customer satisfaction.
*Conduct training of supervisory skills in all aspects of Employee Relations.
*Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner.
*As needed, support all functions of HR including employment and training.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
*Must be able to work independently.
*Must be able to sit for long periods of time (minimum of 4 hours).
*Must be able to walk long distances and maneuver from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
*Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions, when handling team member and guest conflicts.
*Responds to visual and aural cues.
*Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
*Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
*Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must qualify for, obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
