The primary responsibility of the Employment Recruitment Specialist is to work as a liaison with specific departments to source, interview, and process to hire qualified candidates for open positions with The Venetian & Palazzo Resorts. This position will report to the Employment Manager and will perform various employment duties as assigned. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIRMENTS: At least 21 years of age, proof of eligibility to work in the United States, High School diploma or equivalent, communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
SPECIFIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 3 years of previous work experience in a recruitment function, preferably in an employment role in the hotel/casino industry.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred.
Previous experience recruiting and interviewing applicants, preferably in a hospitality environment.
Must possess experience verifying work certifications and verification & completion of employment for the Form I-9.
Requires knowledge of all rules, regulations and federal laws related to employment; including proper interviewing procedures.
Must have strong computer skills with the ability to navigate systems for optimal productivity.
Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment; maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Able to frequently move freely about the office, sit for long periods and withstand various activities such as frequent walking, standing, bending, maintain manual dexterity to access computer via computer keyboard and operate office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, fax machine, etc. and able to access all areas of the facility and travel off property when representing VCR.
Must be able to multi-task during daily interviews to maintain the right balance between recruiting for open positions and assisting assigned departments with daily needs.
Must also be able to work extended hours and/or occasional nights/weekends to accommodate job/career fairs for The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino.
