DEPARTMENT: Purchasing / Project Management

REPORTS TO:  Purchasing Agent RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·  Expedite all project purchase orders

·  Setup shipping schedule to coordinate with established construction/renovation schedule

·  Inform Project Manager and Purchasing Agent of any shipment delays and/or discrepancies

·  Coordinate changes in shipping schedules with vendors as provided by the Project Manager

·  Regularly trace shipments on all Purchase Orders to ensure on-time delivery

·  Obtain proof of delivery documents on all items orders

·  Follow-up on delayed shipments and monitor back orders

·  File claims and follow up on all damaged shipments

·  Track PO’s in excel by project and provide written weekly updates

·  Work with buyer to obtain product price quotes

·  Work with A/P to obtain deposit checks

·  Problem resolution with hotels in the field as they arise.

·  Responsible for warehousing quotes and scheduling when required.

·  Obtain shipping quotes when necessary

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

·  Experience in Purchasing in a fast paced environment,

2 years Hospitality experience required

·  Good written and verbal communication skills

·  Excellent interpersonal skills

·  Detail oriented, well organized and strong follow-up to assigned projects

·  Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

·  Proficiency with Word and Excel
