Graphic Designer

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsible for producing various direct mail and collateral pieces while adhering to brand standards. Collaborate on large projects with internal design team, copywriters, sales department and freelancers.

 

Qualifications:3-7+ years of experience designing direct mail, publications, collateral, advertising, website and/or emailsAbility to design within existing brand standards and to extend that brand where appropriate Sophisticated design sense working with typography, information hierarchy, photography and color palettes Technical knowledge and experience working in Adobe CS and Mac OSAbility to prepare electronic files for pre-press releaseSense of personal responsibility and high standard of performanceAbility to work independently and collaborativelyCapacity to work both quickly and accurately under deadlineAbility to prioritize and multi-taskPositive attitude with an enthusiastic outlookAdditional skills that are a plus:Knowledge of available photography resources – stock and assignmentExperience manipulating/correcting images in PhotoshopExperience with prepress color correction and proofingExperience with interactive and HTML coding  a plus

 

Physical Plant:Work performed in an office setting and in the field including on board vessels.Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills required operating computer and various other pieces of office equipment.Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach and perform the job in an standing, upright position.
