Hotel General Manager

Mid-sized resort in Scottsdale is seeking a General Manager with management experience at a 4-Star Hotel/Resort --either General Manager or Assistant Manager experience.  This position has overall responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the resort to maximize profitability by pursuing the highest levels of guest satisfaction and seeking continuous improvement opportunities while utilizing effective cost controls and management techniques.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manages daily operations and assignments of the hotel, including planning /organizing work and communicating goals. Initiates salary, disciplinary and other staff actions in accordance with company policies.
- Ensures that quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel, including appearance, maintenance and cleanliness
- Ensures superior guest satisfaction, hotel performance and development of staff
- Conducts business in a professional and ethical manner
- Ensures staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to effectively carry out job functions.
- Ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, staff and hotel assets

Job Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration required along with 3+ years general management or assistant general manager experience in a 4-Star Hotel property
- Excellent leadership and decision making skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to provide clear and concise direction
- Excellent initiative, work habits and flexibility
