Hotel Maintenance Mechanic

Scope of Position

Here at the Seaport Hotel, we operate a class A Hotel in addition to event space and retail businesses. Your function is to make our tenants and guests impressions a positive and comfortable one throughout our mixed-use facility. You will be self-directed to perform general maintenance within all of the above listed spaces as well as our common areas. Your role has direct impact on our tenants and guest’s satisfaction level as well as Seaport Hotel’s high standard of performance.   Exceeding expectations will be the hallmark of your department.  The Maintenance Technician reports to the Assistant Chief Engineer, while working closely with all event personnel, subcontractors and internal managers as well as employees .

 

 

Schedule Requirements

· Your schedule will be mainly Tuesday - Saturday from 3:30pm - Midnight, including weekend work and holidays.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain each area by progressive maintenance schedule.

· Maintain tools and materials necessary to maintain facility.

· Work orders will be completed and turned in to office on a daily basis.

· Responsible for all tools furnished by Seaport Hotel.

· Report any and all issues with building systems to the Chief Engineer.

· This position requires the ability to work independently.

· Coordinate maintenance activities with direct supervisor, work order system and event coordinators.

· Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Required Job Knowledge and Skills

· Must be knowledgeable in all phases of Building Maintenance.

· Able to work with minimum supervision.

· Back of house - mechanical areas and roof.

· Front of house – Office space, retail spaces, event rooms, common areas.

· Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.

 Qualifications

· Two years experience in Building Maintenance.

· Trade school helpful.
