IT Internship-Restaurant Support Analyst

Provide technical assistance to store managers, vendors, service providers with the following: critical system failure, hardware or software issues, general questions, clarification on operational procedures, or require one-on-one training for specific functions with their personal computer. This assistance includes support for in-house developed and approved third applications. Schedule and follow-up of service with vendors; provide hardware, network, and peripheral device installation and troubleshooting. • Vital customer service link for IT to stores, vendors, service providers, and franchisees. • Provide phone based support on basic PC operations, specialized store software, hardware, and network questions • Provide support for “in-house” developed applications. This often includes installation, one-on-one training and general questions. • Provide support for approved third-party applications such as MSOffice Products. • Troubleshoot all applications and hardware for problem resolution. • Resolve fatal system crashes. • Resolve time critical issues such as end of night issues, payroll and end of period/year updates. • Diffuse caller’s frustrations to get to root of problem. • Escalate issues accordingly and provide detailed historical data on those issues to second level support • Coordinate maintenance with vendors/service providers. • Assist service providers with configuration information, parts ordering, troubleshooting. • Assist in installation of new equipment and applications. • Provide specialized one-on-one training for specific application needs. Education/Experience: • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in related field (Junior or Senior Level) • 1 - 2 years working with PC applications preferred • 1 - 2 years working in a customer service or restaurant environment preferred • 1-2 helpdesk experience preferred • Database knowledge (Access, SQL, Btrieve) • A+ Certification preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Ability to deal with frustrated store managers and challenging situations. • Good negotiation skills • Good verbal and written communication skills • Good coordination/organizational skills • Ability to prioritize and categorize issues If you’re a professional who delivers on your promises – and promises to add value to every action you take; if you value diversity in people and their perspectives; and challenge yourself with worthwhile risks, then discover a fresh new way to think about business and your career with Brinker International.
