JOB TITLE: LOSS PREVENTION OFFICER  OCCUPATION CODE:  115900  DEPARTMENT NAME: LOSS PREVENTION     I. Job Description:  Protect and safeguard all site guests and employees, their belongings and all site assets. Respond rapidly to requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance in a professional and hospitable manner. Responsibility of obtaining all loss reports, investigate, follow-up and determine course of action and then communicate such determination.  Minimize future losses through analysis, training, on-going and scheduled safety and security reviews and employee awareness programs.  CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Knowledge of use of AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) a plus. Ability to work a flexible shift.     II.   OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the safety and security of the resort, homeowners, guests and associates and the protection of company and guest assets in accordance with Marriott Vacation Club Int. standards utilizing excellent hospitality skills.  III.  WORKING RELATIONS:   Reports to:  Loss Prevention Supervisor/Manager   Interfaces with:  Guests, Front Desk and other intra-departmental associates.  IV.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Responsible for making continuous patrols of the property to ensure the safety and well-being of the resort, owners and guests, and associates.  · Enforce all rules and regulations set forth by Marriott Resorts Hospitality Corporation (MRHC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to include, but not limited to: red sticker policy, parking, no solicitation, locker inspections and safe work practices. · Monitor keying system to assist engineering with door lock calls for the purpose of screening person(s) attempting to gain access to villa. · Able to accurately report on shifts, thefts, incidents, accidents and physical hazards. V.   SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: · Assist resort personnel and all owners and guests during any emergency such as, but not limited to: fire, flood, severe weather, etc. · Actively support the Loss Prevention Committee and all programs to ensure the highest levels of safety for all resort occupants.  · Actively support the Safety Committee, if applicable, and all related programs to ensure the highest level of safety is given to our owners and guests. · Various other duties as assigned by Loss Prevention Supervisor/Manager.   VI. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Keyboard capabilities. Occasional lifting and bending. Prolonged walking.    VII.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. · Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English, second language a plus. · Ability to function well under pressure.  · Proficiency in basic computer skills. · Professional demeanor and appearance. · Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with all levels of the organization. · Able to work all shifts.      EOE  M/F/V/D Position Type: Full Time, Employee Salary: Competetive Salary and Benefits Offered Marriott Billing Department: 38k3510 Company: Marriott Vacation Club International - MVCI
