Marketing and Sales Representative

Job Description:

The Marketing and Sales Representative is expected to build business and partnerships within an assigned region for a premier Caribbean island tourist destination. He/she will be expected to follow up on leads generated by tradeshows, telephone and web campaigns, and to develop and maintain productive relationships with the travel trade in the designated region.

 

Requirements:

·         College degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Social        Sciences with at least 5 years experience working with tourism and the       travel trade

 

·         Proven expertise planning marketing campaigns from concept to        completion

 

·         Solid track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

 

·         Exceptional oral and written communication skills

 

·         Strong interpersonal and networking skills

 

·         Knowledge of current affairs, political, social and business issues that        relate to and affect tourism and the travel trade

 

·         Proven ability to use market research and to provide assistance with       data gathering as needed

 

·         Willingness to travel within the assigned region as necessary
