Membership Assistant

 

Position Description Summary

Responsible for assisting with administrative and sales support tasks related to membership marketing and member services.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

1. In the absence or unavailability of the Membership Director, meet with prospects taking initial information, answering questions the prospect may have regarding Club Membership and giving a tour of Club Quarters when it is deemed appropriate. All information will be communicated to the Membership Director and any offers of complimentary rounds of golf for the prospect will be cleared through the Membership Director.

2. The Membership assistant will be responsible for coordinating Enrollment Sessions with the Membership Director and preparation to include:

Invitation to all new members

Preparing enrollment packets for each member

Auditing new member files to ensure completion of all forms

Updating enrollment packages as new information comes out on the Club level, and taking responsibility of enrollment package presentation and information enclosed; as well as keeping adequate supply on hand.

3. Provide support concerning special events for Membership related functions.

4. Type all necessary communications for the membership department which may be deemed necessary by the Membership Director.

5. Assist the Membership Director with daily follow-up of new Member candidates.

6. Provide Member Services in the areas of member cards, change of address, logging resignations, tracking membership growth, members Select, Associate Club information and other Member services (ie. MGA and LGA support, and etc).

7. Provide support service to the General Manager upon request to include management newsletters, clerical and organizational support for Employee Partner committees such as the STAR Service and Safety committees, memo's and budgetary reports, quarterly staff meetings, weekly senior staff minutes, and whatever other tasks may be deemed necessary by the Manager.

Work Experience

2-3 years office experience required. Sales background preferred

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
