Mgr I-Project Management

THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED VIRTUALLY IN CANADA OR THE US. POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing Middle Market solutions (client's with up to $10M in annual hotel spend) that support the Business Travel value proposition. Primary area of focus will be strategic Hotel Spend Management Optimization program development for this segment. This position will manage current projects, as well a provide thought leadership on new initiatives and solution development. Travel program spend management beyond hotel and the Middle Market segment are a strong plus. Support hotel practice initiatives on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possess versatile consulting, analytical, creative and relationship management skills, and is flexible and adaptable for changes . Hands-on Project management experience is essential. Up to 50% travel required. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Manage and develop hotel preferred relationships at mid to senior management levels - Build mutually beneficial program offerings for American Express and preferred chains - Collaborate with various departments within American Express, including but not limited to; Middle Market senior leaders, and Client General Managers, and Supplier Relations - Train and communicate programs to the Client General Manager Community, Sr Management and Supplier Relations - Present Middle Market programs at client forums - Support other hotel practice line initiatives as needed - Ability to work on other MM practice line initiatives beyond hotel as needed - Operate in a team-oriented environment with a strong sense of responsibility toward team members and objectives - Perform quarterly reviews with preferred suppliers - Experience with @Work reporting helpful but not required American Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer. QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Bachelor's Degree.
