BASIC PURPOSE Modify and maintain an Oracle based purchasing logistics and maintenance database to resolve performance and capacity issues. Develop, implement, and monitor supporting applications and database content. Manage overall maintenance and administration of the database system. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in MIS or related field of study REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 Years of experience with SQL and relational databases, specifically Oracle. Some application development experience required. AMOS and PowerBuilder experience preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS ·  Current knowledge of relational database, such as Oracle. ·  Ability to repair data errors and configure, modify and manage Oracle. ·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. ·  Ability to maintain ongoing knowledge of industry standards, trends, best practices, equipment and vessel implementation. ·  Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy with other staff members in order to coordinate departmental efforts to maintain support of policies and procedures. ·  Ability to travel to ships 1 to 2 times a year to conduct end-user training in Amos or for new build set-up. ·  Knowledge of marine/cruise industry preferred. NCL offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision / life insurance, 401(K) plans, and cruise privileges.
