Position Responsibilities: In support of, and under the supervision of our Sr. Design Manager, Provide architecture design work, which include exterior, minor interior and signage, help to maintain all designs are satisfactory at the highest level of the industry while cost efficient. Provide architectural design work of existing store remodel or renovation of building & support interior design initiatives. Research & Develop material and fixture specifications for various types of Panda stores. Principle Accountabilities Research & Development material and fixture specifications for new stores. Provide and maintain store design standard for efficient new store design and production. Provide comprehensive design services for Panda projects by coordinating with with landlord, city/county government, Panda’s in house Sr. Design Manager, Sr. VP of architecture, general related department Directors, Project Managers, Real Estate Managers and outside consultants and operations. Respond to requests from construction personnel for information, clarification or modification. Some 3-D modeling and rendering for R&D or presentation. Supervise vendor selection, cost research for material and fixtures. Coordinate design activities with the Design Review Committee to create PROTOTYPES To provide comprehensive design services for new PMC projects as well as modifications and renovations, in support of, and under the supervision of our Sr. Design Manager, either supporting the origination of designs. either by originating designs or by providing criteria. To review personally, or establish criteria for others in the department to review, all architectural and design projects in the contract document production phase at established intervals. To provide timely response to design needs, problems and questions during the construction phase. To work closely with The Operations and other departments to assure that the design needs of the in-house client are being met with the greatest possible understanding, ingenuity and urgency. Create variations of prototype, design manual, sign manual, etc. a. Study variables. b. Devise adaptive strategies. c. Verify strategies with Operations. Marketing, Construction, and etc. Organize explanations of variations, inducing drawings and specifications, and integrate them into existing prototype format. Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience of architecture in food service or retail companies with minimum 5 years of architecture experience. Must have knowledge of CADD, Excel and Power Point. Architectural registration preferred, but not necessary.
