Purchasing Coordinator

Responsibilities: Coordinate small wares procurement and other non-food items Arrange small wares product ordering procedures for new and existing stores Assist Purchasing Manager with the coordination of projects such as new product testing & promotion, product substitutions, nonconformance products, product recalls, credit verification, obtaining samples, verifying product cost, tracking product usage, and follow up communication between suppliers, distributors, and purchasing Handle field calls and inquiries from PRG stores, log all store inquiries, prioritize issues, and recommend solutions Coordinate the day-to-day activities between purchasing and logistics. Support with administrative and clerical duties Provide and support operations and support center functions with their procurement related needs Other duties as assigned AA Degree or equivalent 2 years experience in procurement, inventory management, and customer service Strong planning and coordinating background, good analytical skills Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and database programs General purchasing knowledge in small wares and other on-food items Works well under pressure, good interpersonal and communication skills The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who: Has an aptitude for learning Proactively looks for and generates approaches to new ideas Demonstrates initiative - is an "out of the box thinker" The Panda Restaurant Group follows the principles of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and recommends that all interested candidates become familiar with the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen Covey, in addition to our Mission and Values listed on our Panda website.
