Recreation Supervisor

JOB TITLE: RECREATION SUPERVISOR DEPARTMENT NAME: OPERATIONS     I.  Job Description:  Responsible for coordinating the activities of the Lifeguards, Pool Attendants and Department Specialists.  The Supervisor is responsible for producing Recreational Activity Agendas for guests.  CPR certification preferred.     II.   OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:     Responsible for the delivery of a safe quality vacation experience through the supervision of the resort activities program. Will provide daily supervision of all aspects of the recreation department utilizing excellent hospitality skills in accordance with Marriott Vacation Club Int. standards.  III.  WORKING RELATIONS:   Reports to:  Activities Manager     Supervises:    Recreation Attendants  Interfaces with:  Guests, Front Desk and other-intra departmental associates.  IV.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Responsible for the coordination, training and supervision of the resort recreation  associates while promoting a safe and clean environment.  · Supervisor will assist in initial interviews as needed when hiring associates. · Ensure appropriate management of cash drawer transactions, cash drops and bank audits in accordance with Marriott accounting practices. · Will be responsible for activity budget compliance.  V.   SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: · Provide computer support to prepare documents such as the Activities Guide, schedules and presentations. · Monitor and coach associates on daily activities to ensure progress and guest satisfaction.  · Participate as required on special resort committees. · Various other duties as assigned by Activities Manager.   VI. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:· Keyboard capabilities. Occasional lifting, carrying 50 lbs. and bending. Heavy data entry. Excellent presentation skills.   VII.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. · Some supervisory experience, preferably in resort activities. · Current First Aid and CPR certified. · Ability to monitor complex transactions for numerous individual banks.  Accuracy is a must.  · Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Power Point. · Must be a self-starter, well organized, and detail oriented. · Able to read, write and speak English, second language a plus. · Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to manage multiple projects. · Professional demeanor and appearance. · Goal oriented, self-motivated. · Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.   EOE  M/F/V/D Position Type: Full Time, Employee Salary: Competitive Salary and Benefits Offered Marriott Billing Department: 38k3705 Company: Marriott Vacation Club International - MVCI
