Senior Manager, Project Development

Under the direction of the Director of Project Development and or the Project Development Project Manager, the Senior Project Development Manager (SPDM) must demonstrate an extensive design and construction management background. The SPDM manages projects staffed with multiple project managers, project controls and administrative support to accomplish the goals of the department from Design through Construction. The SPDM may also be involved in the Development and Planning of architectural and engineering capital projects. Requirements: The position requires demonstrable experience in the management of projects and oversight of project managers and support staff assigned. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of construction materials and methods, AIA contracts and an ability to dispense advice through presentations, workshops, meetings, site visits, reports, and telephonic and electronic media. Requires an advanced technical degree and/or license/registration in Development, Architecture, Construction Management and/or Engineering and at least 15 years experience in those fields. Proven experience must be demonstrated in at least three of the fields identified. Minimum BS/BCE Degree and/or license/registration in Architecture, Development, Engineering or Construction Management, minimum of 15 years experience in Development, Design and/or Construction. The candidate must demonstrate direct senior project management oversight of multiple and/or individual project in support of an owners program for design, development and construction. A history of management responsibilities for projects in excess of 20 millions dollars must be demonstrated. A diverse background of project types is desirable. Strong real estate development background preferred. All education, registration and experience must be documented and verifiable. Software experience required: Expedition or Prolog document management relational database systems, scheduling tools e.g. Primavera P.3, Sure-track and Microsoft Project. Familiarity and/or functional skill with computer aided design e.g. AutoCAD is desirable.
