Due to growth in the department and increased volume, we are currently seeking a Sr. Project Accountant to join our team!

 Essential Job Functions, Duties and ResponsibilitiesFulfill the project accounting and cost reporting requirements of multiple mid-sized projects, or singular large project, including day-to day interface with project management, client and contractor personnel.Report to Project Management on project costs as they relate to budgeted amounts and their impact on project profitability. Apply funds received by preparing accounts payable to trades, subs, accounts receivable reconciliation with the associated re-billing of client deductions and adjustments to billable cost. Process payments to trades and subs on a timely manner and ensure compliance with requisition due dates established by the contact documents. Ensure that trades and subs are in compliance with requisition format and required submission of Contracts and support documentation. Maintain complete project files, including trades, subs and vendors for projects. Administration and control of all costs through review and data entry of commitments, A/P, Wires, etc., and examining costs to establish agreement with the contracting, policy, etc. Ensure that every trade or subcontractor is in compliance with the terms and conditions of his/her contract documents. Interface with corporate accounting staff in dealing with equity and debt reconciliations. General Background and Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, business Administration, or equivalent experience.3-6 years accounting experience. Property or Construction industry preferred. Proficient in MS Excel required; Timberline, Yardi or other ERP Systems (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, other) desired. Should possess self-management skills and ability to work with limited supervision, basic computer skills and competency. Proficient communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
