If you're the kind of person who wants to be challenged, supported, and applauded, this is where you belong. Job Description The Senior Project Manager will report directly to the HR PMO Director. The position will provide day-to-day management and oversight for one or more discrete HR projects that are a part of or in support of a larger initiative and program. He/she will be responsible for utilizing systematic project management protocols and practices in carrying out these responsibilities. The individual will be involved in key activities from project planning to execution, deployment, and stabilization. He/she will be responsible for managing a project team to deliver the specific program, products and services required by the Project Initiation charter. In addition to managing projects, the Senior Project Manager will proactively develop tools and processes and market standards across Human Resources leveraging best practices from within Marriott as well as from external organizations. CANDIDATE PROFILE EXPERIENCE 5+ years of solid program/project management experience. Expertise and proven track record in managing complex, multifunctional initiatives. Experience in providing direction and performing responsibilities via influence (as opposed to line management authority). Proven success in introducing major change to complex organizations. Project Management certification preferred. Experience using MS Project required. Experience with benchmarking. Minimum BA degree; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
