We’re currently looking for an experienced professional to join us at our corporate headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. As our Trends Analyst, Research & Marketing Information, you will increase our understanding of consumer responses to our services by gathering, studying and interpreting survey research as well as other marketing data. You will also manage inquiries with, and analyze data from, Guest Tracking Studies performed by our outside vendor company.

Duties include utilizing sources such as Forrester, PhocusWright, Gallup and Nationwide to analyze secondary research and track quantitative measures of marketing performance. You will perform phone/mail-based research and produce regular reports for other departments to communicate changes in various elements of lodging demand along with other consumer-based data.

Qualified applicants possess:
Expertise in data collection and sampling, as well as with survey research tabulation software such as Wincross, SPSS and QuantumAt least 3 years of data analysis backgroundAbility to interpret and summarize survey information in written form Proven success proofing data tables and research reportsStrong proficiency with MS Office applications, especially ExcelUnderstanding of statistics Excellent organizational and communication skills for working with outside vendors and interacting at all organizational levelsExperience in marketing research analyses and in the hotel industry desiredBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Research or Statistics preferred
