Job ID: 17530 Posting Title: Absence Management Consultant Working Location: Baltimore, MD Employment Status: Full-Time Job Summary: Seeking an Absence Management Consultant with responsibilities to include assessing, coordinating, developing, and implementing health, productivity and return-to-work strategies for new and existing Zurich customers. The candidate will have a flexible schedule and will travel accordingly in support of the customers in our Eastern region of the U.S. The position will be based in either Baltimore, MD or Philadelphia, PA. In addition, the candidate will have responsibilities for the ongoing development of benchmarking and auditing techniques to ensure effective measurement criteria are in place to evaluate effectiveness of our customer's health, productivity, and return-to-work processes.Individual must possess expertise in designing, managing and implementing health & productivity, integrated disability, and return-to-work strategies on a programmatic basis. Individual must have a solid working knowledge of short-term and long-term disability benefits, workers' compensation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition, individual must have a proven track record of building effective partnerships with clients on related issues. Familiarity with Zurich products and capability of working with underwriters to present and service loss sensitive insurance programs and products. The consultant assures injury management techniques are in place and protocol is followed to support Zurich's absence management and return-to-work philosophy Job Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree plus 5 or more years of experience in a related industry such as workers' compensation, vocational rehabilitation or case management.
