Account Manager - Property & Casualty Insurance

ACCOUNT MANAGER

 SUMMARY

Provide services for Gallagher Healthcare and subsidiaries. The account manager position requires keen leadership and management skills reflecting the ability to interact successfully on a daily basis with clients, insurance company personnel, and internal personnel independent of supervision. The account manager is accountable for retention of current business and is responsible for new business production through expansion of current accounts and referrals based on current client relationships.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The account manager is responsible for management of accounts on a daily basis in cooperation with Account Executive/Producer, including but not limited to:

 

Ø Have comprehensive understanding of various product lines and maintain knowledge of client operations.

Ø Ability to analyze and assess needs and exposures of clients and interact with producer to provide responsive solutions.

Ø Comprehensive policy and endorsement review at inception, ongoing through the year and at renewal.

Ø Assists with supervision of account service team to ensure all daily account activities, including accounting and collection issues, are performed in a timely and accurate manner.

Ø Performs and coordinates all client service standard requirements pertaining to new and renewal business including service plan, timelines and expiration lists.

Ø Coordinates claim guidelines between client, insurance company and/or internal claims department.

Ø Monitors for timely receipt of loss reports, reviews reports and instigates the development of loss analysis by service team.

Ø Account placement and resolves problems pertaining to quotes, claims, services or other issues.

Ø Directs preparation of submissions, proposals, confirmation of insurance and all interaction between service team with client and/or insurance companies.

Ø Acts as liaison with marketplace/clients to continue to develop new relationships and opportunities while continuing to strengthen current relationships.

Ø Attend off site client/insurance company meetings.

 QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this position successfully, the following skills and/or abilities are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Individual must demonstrate leadership abilities to include training, evaluation and motivation of service staff. Demonstrate ability to manage work loads on a timely and accurate basis and be able to solve practical problems, to interpret and act upon written and oral instructions in order to respond effectively to client requirements.

 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Ø Two years college experience; or

Ø Associate degree; or

Ø Three to four years experience in insurance field; and

Ø Commitment to attend industry related classes and desire to work toward designation.

 

 

LICENSE REQUIREMENT AND EDUCATION

Texas General Lines Agent (P&C) license is required.Maintain continuing education requirements as directed by management guidelines to be in compliance with state laws.
