Accounting Assistant (Intern)

Major Duties and Functions Include: Performs a variety of advanced accounting functions involving the processing and reconciling of accounts. Performs difficult examination and checking operations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of accounting records, including reviewing original source documents, determining proper coding to transactions, and/or adjusting incorrect entries. Research causes for discrepancies through basic analysis and review, and makes corrections or adjustments where appropriate to ensure accuracy; may refer more complex problems to others for resolution. Compiles data; prepares quarterly estimated tax payments and other special tax related reports and work papers. What You Need to Succeed: Advanced EXCEL skills Prefer sophomore, junior, or senior in college pursuing an accounting degree or pursuing Masters in accounting/finance Detail oriented Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
