Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:oManages Finance accounting staff in Ft. Worth oCoordinates all close processes managing the Financial Accountants and staff oWorks with BU management to coordinate project profitability and reporting oDevelops month over month various analysis as well as forecast and budget variance analysis oOrganizes budgeting process and builds necessary tools for budget preparation.- must be organized oReviews monthly financial reports required by corporate for submission to include: Balance Sheet Analysis, Forecast report, Flash report, A/R and WIP reports oStrong understanding of Deferred Expense and Revenue GAAP requirements using EFT 81 and SOP 104 oGood understanding of current and future accounting pronouncements impacting their areas of responsibility and will utilize that understanding to ensure all areas exceed audit expectationsoDemonstrated history of exemplary ethics and integrity oAd-Hoc reporting and other duties as assignedSkills/Experience Required:oBachelors Degree in Accounting required - Masters in accounting a pluso5 or more years experience in managing a close process and close staff oMust have experience managing the General Ledger, Financial Statement Preparation, Accruals, Account Analysis; oExperience with Budgeting process.oAdvanced user of ExceloAn interest in and facility with issues related to accounting policy and principles oManiacal attention to detail oWillingness to expand range of responsibilities as needed based on the evolution of the business unit and the role oAbility to work autonomously and meet the closing schedule and other deadlines with confidence oWilling/excited to work in a fast-paced, but sometimes intense, rapidly expanding business unitSpecial Requirements:Some travelPeopleSoft experience a PlusEducation:BS/BA Degree - Accounting (Masters in accounting preferred)CPA or CPA candidate Founded in 1976, CGI Group Inc. is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in the world.
