ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The main responsibility is to pay vendors (external and internal) accurately and timely.  In this role, you will perform routine Accounts Payable activities with moderate scope, exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions, and assist in general accounting functions.  You will normally receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.

 

Schedule:  Monday-Friday, full-time, flexible hours

Typical hours of overtime per week:  0-2 hours

Travel:  Possibility of occasional travel to other LTCG offices in MN; Not often.

# of People on Team:  2-3

# of People in Dept.:  6

Typically work with:  Corporate Acct. Manager, Department Managers, External Vendors, other acct. staff

 

Responsibilities:

§ Responsible for matching invoices to P.O.’s and entering in purchasing module.

§ Responsible for completing weekly check run processing, matching and filing all supporting documentation.

§ Responsible for batch processing all company payables and employee expense reports on a daily basis.

§ Responsible for maintaining the Accounts Payable – Corporate email box.

§ Assist with account analysis support for telephones, temporaries, and other contractors.

§ W-9 form collection and annual 1099 reporting.

§ Manage expense coding process for American Express and telephones.

§ Assist with month end accruals.

§ Assist with general accounting functions and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:2 year degree preferred in accounting, finance, business administration.2 years minimum Accounts Payable experience required.1 year minimum Account software experience required; Great Plains Accounting preferred.Beginning to intermediate level Microsoft Excel and Outlook knowledge with the ability to quickly learn and apply newly acquired skills in a timely manner.Knowledge of accounting principles and policies. Ability to manage processes to deadlines.Customer service focused toward internal and external clients.Flexible with the ability to work on multiple tasks.Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.Good interpersonal skills.Able to analyze processes and implement innovative ideas to improve efficiencies.
