Position Summary:

 

This position supports product development, implementation, and management through performing actuarial tasks.  Duties include but are not limited to: assisting in the preparation of documents for policy filing, product pricing, drafting documents outlining system changes required to support new product design, assisting in the review of marketing material, training staff on new products, gathering and analyzing experience data, and implementation and automation of interest rate management.

 

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have at least the following:

§ A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a grade point average of the equivalent of a B or better;

§ Three exams of the Society of Actuaries;

§ 3 or more years in annuity or life insurance product development or product management;

§ Proficiency in Word, Access, and Excel, including Visual Basic for Applications;

§ Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

§ Authorization to work in the U.S.

 

The following experience and skills, while not required, will be considered in the evaluation process:

·  A college major or minor in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or similar relevant field;

·  A grade point average of A or better;

·  Four exams of the Society of Actuaries;

·  Familiarity with a programming language;

·  Experience with an actuarial pricing system, preferably TAS; and

·  Ability to use and manipulate SQL Server.
