Appraisal Manager

Overview:

The Appraisal Manager will be responsible for management of a team of Desk Appraisers and Field Appraisers, their workload adjustments and job performance including, estimating, customer service skills, and time management. Other duties will include providing technical support and training to appraisal staff as well as completing re-inspections of vehicle repairs completed in E-Star facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Management of Appraiser dispatch process
• Responsible for overall quality appraisal handling
• Manage E-Star program including repair facilities, tracking results, and ensuring quality control
• Ensures proper maintenance of fleet vehicles
• Ensures proper training for the ongoing development of Appraisal staff
• Monitors and reports unit performance against established metrics standards
• Work closely with Appraisal staff to ensure fair, accurate, and timely settlements of material damage claims
• Assists in the interviewing and hiring of claims staff
• Keeps current on state/territory regulations and issues as well as industry activity and trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience is required
• Minimum of 5 years automobile property and casualty claims experience is required
• Prior auto claims management experience
• Excellent verbal, written, and overall people management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Proven leadership ability
• Extensive knowledge in all areas of claims handling
• Prior auto claims management experience is required
• Solid computer skills and use with MS Office Products
