Long Term Care Group (LTCG) is the nation’s largest administrator of long term care insurance services.  We provide a sophisticated and broad platform of services, including full policy administration, clinical expertise, and product design and development for both group and individual long term care insurance products.

 

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you will provide accounting support to our Finance team.  This support will be instrumental in ensuring the company maintains strong and accurate accounting records and financial statements.# of People in Dept.:  12-15 in Corporate Finance Typical/Expected hours of work:  40 Typically works with:  Co-workers (Finance, IT, Brooklyn Center location), outside nurse contract agencies, outside clients that we billed Travel:  Could occasionally need to go to Brooklyn Center or Woodbury office



Responsibilities:30% Billing functions of Nation’s CareLink including underwriting and claims (Nation’s CareLink is our Brooklyn Center location.) 20% Nation’s CareLink agency billings 20% Cash Application and A/R Aging 10% Maintaining Fixed Assets including receiving approvals, matching of purchase orders to invoices, managing all clearing accounts, processing additions and retirements and completing monthly depreciation 5% Assist in month end closing, including all revenue journal entries 5% Monthly account analysis 5% Occasional back up to Accounts Payable position 5% Other projects as requested



Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent experience required Minimum of 0-2 years accounting experience; experience in journal entry preparation, auditing and balance sheet reconciliation preferred Strong problem solving skills Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Beginner with data entry in Accounting software - Great Plains (GL) or similar accounting software Team player with positive attitude Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
