Provides general/routine clerical support for a functional unit or office, suchas distributing mail, picking up out baskets, copying and assembly of documents,faxing, filing and basic telephone support.

Stamps, sorts, and distributes mail. Prepares outgoing mail as appropriate.Faxes documents per instructions from originator.

Receives incoming deliveries. Sorts and distributes as appropriate.

Photocopies documents; sets up and maintains document files. May be required tooperate microfilm or microfiche machines to record and retrieve information.

Answers telephones, takes messages and refers callers to appropriate teammembers or departments. Responds to telephone inquiries and handles routineproblems and requests.

Reviews and researches documents to validate requested documentation isattached. Pulls claim copies and prepares documentation for batching.

Writes, types, or enters information into computer. Documents actions taken andtransfers or moves claims to appropriate locations.

Prepares VIP claims for batching. Activates claims and distributes accordingly.

Prepares files, sorts and files records.

Addresses envelopes or packages. Stuffs envelopes by hand.


High School diploma or GED and six months related experience and/or training, orequivalent combination of education and experience.

Good computer and related software application skills.

Good math and writing skills.

Effective communication skills.

Good organizational skills.

Able to type accurately and approximately 45 WPM.

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Must be flexible and able to multitask.

Must be able to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds.
