Associate Underwriter - Commercial Lines

Responsibilities:Develop an understanding of insurance industry, company strategy and processes;Handle lower complexity transactions/risks;Display basic aptitude for systems/technology;Interact with Agencies and customers under direct supervision; andParticipate in field office underwriting and producer reviews upon occasion.





Requirements:

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required;No prior professional experience necessary, but insurance experience is beneficial;Operates under direct supervision;Limited discretion and authority;Basic knowledge of process and procedures;Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present;Demonstrated ability to multi-task at a basic level;Uses basic appropriate judgment and decision making; andWorking knowledge of ethical behavior and decision making.
