Duties and Responsibilities:• Prepare actuarial rate indications based on the profitability of the business. • Working with field management, prepare competitive rate analyses of the Company’s key competitors. • Prepare rate proposals by state and line of business based on internal profitability studies and competitive analysis.• Revises rates in conjunction with pricing proposals• Prepares actuarial support and filing memorandums to accompanying rate filings• Aids in the pricing of new products and rating plans• Completes profitability analyses and ad hoc reports as requiredQualifications:• Math and analytical skills, normally acquired through a BS or BA degree in Math, Statistics or related field• Minimum of 2 years experience in either Commerical or Personal Lines P&C preferred• Completion of 2 Actuarial examinations, preferred but not required• Excellent analytical and communication skills• Strong computer skills, proficient in Excel, familiarity with SAS helpfulACE Limited (NYSE: ACE), the Bermuda-based holding company of the ACE Group of Companies, is one of the worlds leading insurance and reinsurance organizations, with 2006 gross premiums written of $17.4 billion and net premiums written of $12.0 billion.
